YOU ARE HERE links the configurations of North Vancouver paths and trails with geological time. Directional vectors derived from the twists and turns of local cycling and walking routes were used to generate the overall form and geometry of the sculptures and their faceted components refer to the geologic/mineralogy of the region, formed long ago through volcanoes and receding glaciers. On a human scale, the sculptures offer places to sit, rest and enjoy the plaza.
Commissioned by Anthem Properties in collaboration with the City of North Vancouver, Public Art Collection of the City of North Vancouver, BC.
