Arbora Miriama was commissioned for the lobby and atrium area of the O’Doul Hotel in downtown Vancouver. It was intended to complement and connect the ever-changing sky above the dramatically high 3-storey skylight and the area of repose and sociability of the hotel’s main public space and restaurant area, and to suggest the reaching-up or blossoming of plant life to light.
